I was never a big fan of engaging in any form of online social networking websites, where people vigorously shared literally everything they do to the world. This view had taken a 180 degree turn during the past few months.
I didn't recall the exact date or since when this change had taken place, but I was truthfully thankful that I borne in an era where social networking websites exist. They connected me to a wealth of information and personal experience (knowledge), which provided Fion and I a realistic view of what to expect during our triplets pregnancy and more.
This Blogger "Matt and Fion Plus 3" is not about promoting the status of myself or my family's prosperity. It's not about telling you what's right or wrong to do, but to share my personal experience from a simple couple life to an instant family of 5! I will also speak openly to some of takeaways through my journey and hopefully leave a pathway to my fellow friends and families, especially to those who might be following our footsteps and seeking for some guidance and advice to this one of nature's most amazing events.

Our story begun on the
week of April 6th, when we found out Fiona (Fion) was pregnant with our first.
It didn't take us long to realize that our lives will be changed forever from this point forward - of course, I mean in a good way. On the
week of April 20th, we had our very first ultrasound appointment due to
implantation bleeding which was quite concerning for first timer. The
purpose of this ultrasound was to reassure our pregnancy. For a dad-to-be,
there was nothing more important than to receive reassurance from medical
profession that the pregnancy was in good order. The ultrasound was
indeed a loooooonnnnnnnng one from what I could remember. Since it was
our very first ultrasound performed, I did not follow
Fion to the room, but had found myself a quiet corner and sat patiently (anxiously???) waiting for the scan result. A few expectant moms had gone by, but there was no sign of Fion. I begun to talk to myself that something was not right. Finally, Fion walked out in bare foot and asked me to join her for the very first image(s) of our baby. YAY - Delighted with haste, I followed Fion to the room and looked forward to meet our baby (fetus) for the first time. Below was the pic that changed our lives, forever...
Surprised, joy, fear, excited and lost. This very first image contained them all. From what I could remember, Fion and I were both able to remain calm, but speechless and working hard to reconcile all the facts that were laid in front of us. The feelings and emotions at that moment could be quite overwhelmingly complex to explain in words. Simply put, the excitement for our triplets end quickly and turned into fear for premature birth with increased risk for life long disability and many other "potential" medical conditions that are only found in multiple pregnancy.
