Since multiple (twins or above) pregnancy was classified as high-risk, we were immediately referred to one of most reputable hospital in Toronto, Mount Sinai, and be part of the Special Pregnancy Program from week 12 on. Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB/GYN) Dr. Kellie Murphy was assigned as our primary doctor. I would never forget the day I met Dr. Murphy. She is an amazing doctor who appeared to be very gentle and passionate for what she does. Within minutes of our first review (introduction and engagement), she had re-assured Fion and I that we would be well taken care of (regardless of what the future is like) and her team will be there for us 24/7 if we need them. To tell you the truth, getting assurance from her was the best thing ever happened throughout the whole pregnancy-to-date. Everything we read from the online / off-the-shelf self-help references had done nothing, but cast more shadows onto the various "risk" prospects of multiple pregnancy. To this point, I don't mean to disregard the benefits of going through these references yourself, as knowledge is power and people have the right to possess the knowledge they need/desire in order to make the most "educated" or "informed" decision for themselves.
From here on, our lives had gone on a very straight routine. We work as usual from Monday to Friday except having to commit to our bi-weekly Tuesday ultrasound and OB appointment. We completed the Nuchal Translucency ultrasound (week 12) and the fetal anatomy ultrasound (week 19.5). Both ultrasound revealed no abnormality, what a BIG relief! THEW... Below are some of pics we got from our fetal anatomy ultrasound, which took more than 2 hours to examine all the details about each of our baby boy. Yes, we are expecting THREE BOYS. No GALS!
Triplet A (Identical w/ B) - Can you see him saying "hi-five" to you???
Triplet B (Identical w/ A) - Can you see he is looking up and thinking hard??? Baby Einstein!!
Triplet C (Fraternal) - What a sleeping beauty, don't you agree???
It's so amazing to see THREE babies growing in Fion's womb. We are very thankful that it has been a smooth pregnancy so far and continue to pray that it'll stay that way!
